OUR HISTORY
Trans-Pacific Trading, Inc., headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, was founded in 1990 by Krish Swamy. Mr. Swamy has an extensive background in global sourcing strategies and has developed worldwide networks for the efficient manufacture of a wide range of quality products.

1970’s – Export experience in exporting goods to USA and Europe from India

1980's – Senior management positions with a major importer and experience developing import strategies for companies including:

• QVC
• Home Shopping Network
• Price Club
• JC Penney
• Hallmark

1990 – Founded Trans-Pacific Trading. Our initial clients included major toy/doll/crafts companies including:

• Middleton Dolls
• Susan Wakeen Dolls
• Good Kruger Dolls
• Boyd’s Collection
• Ben Franklin Stores
• Hobby Lobby

1991 – American Girl (now a division of Mattel) chose Trans-Pacific Trading to source many of their innovative products. Our network of proven suppliers allowed us to assist them in the importation of goods from:

• Thailand
• India
• Korea
• Japan
• Philippines
• Taiwan
• China

2007 – Opened our China offices and our own manufacturing facility. Trans-Pacific Trading now has the flexibility to serve customers even more efficiently with cost-effective manufacturing solutions in China.
